The Children's Parliament is a joint initiative between the education and environment departments and the Hammersmith & Fulham Urban Studies Centre.

On 17 November 2004, ten primary schools from the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham took part in the sixth annual Children's Parliament on the environment. Year 6 students from each school gave a presentation on their chosen topic before an assembly which included members and officers of the council, fellow students from around the borough and representatives of local organisations and the William Morris Academy. The students' presentations were assessed by the invited judges and the pupils themselves. A series of certificates and awards were presented to the participating schools.

The day was a great success and this is a record of the proceedings.
